Toe Loop

The toe loop is usually the first toe assisted jump learned.

Single:

The skater begins on the back outside edge of the blade tapping the toe pick of the opposite foot into the ice directly behind the skating foot making one complete rotation and landing on the back outside edge of the beginning foot.

Double:

The skater starts on the back outside edge of the skate picking in with the free leg completing two rotations and landing on the back outside edge of the beginning foot.

Triple:

Beginning on the back outside edge of the blade tapping the toe pick of the opposite foot into the ice directly behind the skating leg and completing three rotations landing on the back outside edge of the beginning leg.

Quadruple:

The skater takes off on the back outside edge picking the toe pick of the free leg into the ice directly behind the skating leg making four complete rotations and landing on the back outside edge of the beginning foot.
