Jamie began skating at the age of 6 and quickly moved through the ranks. When she was in her early teens she began skating pairs with Jason Turner. For several years Jamie competed in both pairs and singles and enjoyed success in both. David started skating at the young age of 4 and for a short while he competed in both pairs and singles. David skated with 3 other partners before he found his perfect match in 1998 when he started skating with Jamie. Since pairing up, Jamie and David have won a total of 15 gold medals in various events. In 2001 they won their first World Championships and at the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City Utah they were awarded a gold medal after a judging scandal. A few months after the Olympics Jamie and David turned professional.
