Shae-Lynn began skating when she was 7. She tried singles and pairs before settling on ice dance. Victor began skating when he was 10. He too tried skating singles but finally settled on ice dance. Shae-Lynn and Victor began skating together in 1992 on what supposed to be Victor's last tryout before he quit skating. As soon as they stepped onto the ice together everything seemed to click and they have been together since. They have enjoy great success together. They have been Canadian national champions 9 times and they have won a total of 5 World medals.
